This was the other Paramecium type that I hoped I had identified correctly..
It looks really close to other shots ive googled, so I'm optimistic although pls feel free to supply alternative IDs if applicable
Taken using the Gradient universal filter - I think it was with 40x leitz, NPL fluotar, but small chance it was the zeiss 25x... I should really take notes more

Nice shot, and it does indeed look like a bursaria.
I used to get bazillions of these in my samples and they are cute little guys.

thank you GaryB IanW SunshineLW and Vasselle - i've since managed to record a video of this paramecium type after finding one sitting still doing it's business for several minutes - good opportunity for video
