Greetings to all!

I'm a new member and one of my passions is to collect microscopes from around the world. I've been collecting for a number of years and now that I'm recently retired (hooray!) I finally have time to use and accessorize them. Some of my favorites are: Leitz, Wild, Zeiss, Reichert, AO/Spencer, B&L, and Lomo. There is so much to learn it's quite overwhelming. This group sure is great place to share our passions about microscopes!

All the best!
Gary

Gary,
Congratulations on the retirement. Best wishes on the world microscope collection. So far, I just have Germany and Japan!

Welcome to the world of retirement. A fascinating world of hobbies, sports and whatever you like. I retired in 2010 and didn't regret it for even a second. Enjoy your microscopes.

Hey, thanks. I tell everyone that retirement is better than imagined! My biggest problem now seems to be that I have too many hobbies :-)
