Foraminifer from Honduras

#1 Post by cuxlander » Thu Mar 07, 2019 10:13 am

Hello,

The sand on Roatan-beach did not contain many forams. This is a stack of a 400 µm large specimen, taken with 25x Neofluar, transmitted and reflected (Sansjö-Lamp) light. The original fotos where quite dull and required quite some contrast and sharpness enhancement, negative, grayscaled.

Cheers,
Hans

Beautiful image. Grayscale was the right choice.

What mounting medium did you use?
Zeiss Standard WL (somewhat fashion challenged) & Wild M8
Olympus E-P2 (Micro Four Thirds Camera)

Yes, that really came out spectacular. Inspirational, even (I really dig forams)!
