Where can I find a pic of the skeleton (i.e. cleaned diatom) ? so far found only the next link, seemingly a very different viewing angle ?

Very beautiful image, tantalizing as usual. Are these super abundant, simply a favorite subject, or anything like that? I'm dying to know what form it takes in cross section - I'm guessing a fairly well flattened ellipse...

Combination really. Quite abundant in local Sea Lettuce (Ulva sp.) also still seemingly happy in my sample jar after 2 weeks+ (unusual for saltwater samples, they are normally pretty smelly after a couple of days) plus they are nice and big and for me at least - challenging!Are these super abundant, simply a favorite subject, or anything like that?
