Do hope a forum member (likely in the UK) gets this and scans it. Would be sorry to see this information end up squirreled away in someone's collection -- and thrown away later as they pass on to that great laboratory in the sky.

I wonder if there should be a microscope equivalent to a "Wildnerness Trust?" There, donors who want to see land preserved for public enjoyment contribute to a fund, which then buys up unspoiled lands and opens them to (careful) public use. Could vaguely image a microscopical society buying up post-copyright documents, scanning them, and putting them in a sort of public trust.
