Troubleshooting and Repairing the Electronics of the 20W Models of Olympus BH-2 Microscopes Revision 4
Re: Troubleshooting and Repairing the Electronics of the 20W Models of Olympus BH-2 Microscopes Revision 4
Nice reminder!
Carl Hunsinger's excellent repair manuals (there is in fact nothing as good for any other make of microscope) are all available at Alan Wood’s Web site.
If you were wondering which of the big 4 (Leitz/Leica, Nikon, Olympus or Zeiss) to plump for, and you were undecided, this should definitely be the swing vote.

+1 for Carl's excellent work. At one point the Olympus BH2 was the best selling professional microscope in the world. They're robust, mechanically and optically excellent, and still widely available (including options) on the used market, sometimes needing only maintenance or a minor repair.
