Re: Lamp house grease
Could you post photos of the lamp houses you are referring to. They may be innocent.
Zeiss Standard WL (somewhat fashion challenged) & Wild M8
Olympus E-P2 (Micro Four Thirds Camera)

Re: Lamp house grease
Are you sure the lamp houses need any grease ??
Re: Lamp house grease
I am sure...
There are remainings of old grease on it, which solidified and lamp adjustment knobs ceased to move.
Here a photo of one of them from the internet.
I do not have them around to make a photo.

Hi Petro,
so is the problem is the adjusting screws? How hot a do they become in use? This determines the choice of lubricant.

Re: Lamp house grease
It is hard to say now as I cannot start them and I do not have previous experience with them.
I have ordered some antistuck with working temperature up to 1000C. If it will be to dense I will use G-1/3 OLELUBE vaseline. It has working temperature up to 200C.
And then I will see.

Re: Lamp house grease
The copper-rich greases, typically specified for use on the back of brake-pads,
e.g. https://www.commaoil.com/productsguide/view/6/220
would probably do the job nicely.

Re: Lamp house grease
At the end I wrote to a microscope service and repair company located in Poland
They recommended this grease.
GRIZZLYGREASE No. 3
https://www.lubcon.com/en/products/grea ... ease-no-3/
I was not able to get it but I think G-1/3 will do the job. It has 175 C working temperature maximum and no dropping point.
