Fred,
Welcome to the forum.
MicrobeHunter forum is a very small community but I believe it is the best English microscopy forum on internet.

Re: Greetings from Oregon
Hello Fred-what sort of microscopy do you want to do? Good time to dust off an old scope and wed it to a camera-way better cameras now-even a phone camera can pull off decent footage and all the software for processing to adjust and improve images. Have fun.
Good luck
P.S You could show off your scope in the my microscope section-plenty people hear can talk AO scopes with much enthusiasm!

Re: Greetings from Oregon
Do people accidentally bump heads often when using a dual head setup? Always wondered that...
Re: Greetings from Oregon
Ross:
Since the one head is mounted on the illumination ring vertically and the trinocular head is mounted horizontally on the ring allowing 360 degrees rotation there is no issue unless the parties wish to bump heads...
The illumination ring with the illuminated positional arrow is what prevents d-i-v-o-r-c-e due to heated arguments with my wife as we discuss about what and where the subject in the slide. it at least minimizes extraneous arguments... doesn't remove all of them.
I will post a view of the AO10 and my AO Cyclops
