My first test with my new (revived) microscope Labophot 2. Darkfield technique of a Volvox colony. By KD Arvidsson.

Very relaxing video. I have found these difficult to find. What kinds of environments are you getting them in?

Thank you all for nice comments! My camera setup is a cheap chinese 5 Mp usb in trinocular tube, it is ok. I have ordered a 14 Mp camera and in the future i whant to test my old Panasonic GH4 but i must buy T-ring and adapter for it. I use my 10 x objective from the Novel microscope. Here is where i found the Volvox. It is a little pond near the sea. :D //KD

that's what I meant. so maybe volvox thrive where there is a bit of salt in the water?

Holy crap! I just took a quick trip through your YouTube channel (subscribed) and you have some amazing video.

I know that there is so much more to producing quality images than the camera used, so I hate myself for asking, but what cheap video camera did you use for your videos?

No lie, this is very good quality videomicrography! Congrats on catching Volvox, I think I only ever saw it twice in my entire life :lol: Such a beautiful beast
