Zeiss Jena camera focusing problem.

#1 Post by Piter_ » Thu Aug 06, 2020 8:59 pm

Hi.
I am using this setup.
https://photos.app.goo.gl/GsykgXYFPWQhkmMP6
With MF-projective 4:1 (projection distance 125 mm) and Cannon 40D.
My problem that to get sharp image I have to extend sensor eyepiece distance all the way to ~160 mm.
With low magnification 6x, 3x even then I cannot get clear picture without refocusing the mic.
Why cannot I focus with. 125 mm distance? Where could be a problem?
Thanks.
Petro.

The MF 4:1 projektif has been mentioned in earlier posts - you might look at:

I used it afocally and parfocality was OK, the FOV was somehow narrow so I put it aside.
