Hi,

I bought these cool LED G4 bulbs rated as 12V ac, 20-30W equivalent, 350 lumen for my Zeiss AxioLab which supplies 6V ac

1. for 12Eur, you receive a box of 10 bulbs.
2. It works fine with 12V DC too (not only ac!)
3. It is a bit too big to fit exactly inside the compartment, but gives great results
3. When supplied 6V, the bulb lights dim, but when in parallel with the halogen bulb, it shines very bright and produces a strong uniform light. This entails that the halogen has to be connected even if not used, and which it ets very hot too. My question is if I can place a resistor as load instead the halogen bulb, and in that case what resistance and power sould I use, so that I eliminate the bulky halogen bulb.
4. There is some flickering / strobe at low light (low voltages)

Hope this is helpful if you cant source an original bulb.
