Hello from Singapore

#1 Post by Slowmojoh » Fri Oct 09, 2020 7:41 am

Hi everyone, I am a hobbyist watchmaker from Singapore. I got into microscopes in a very tangential manner, started with using a B&L stereozoom 4 on some routine work and have been hooked on the optical clarity ever since (and also realised how dirty my table really was)! Am always hunting for the next scope to buy, it's a never-ending obsession.

Looking forward to learning from everyone here :D

Hello Slowmojoh-if you want an interesting experience in optical clarity...if you get a small cut on your finger and it’s starting to heal, check it under low powered scope-you can see the layers of skin forming from the edges of the wound often in different strata layers- I used to be a nurse so my natural curiosity took me to try it...wind up watches must look pretty cool under a scope..
