Zygentoma order insect. Diffused light with ping-pong ball half, 2x objective, two focus stacks ~25 images each stitched.

Great image with lots of detail!

Thanks for sharing this, I really need to try your diffused light setup, your results prove that it works really well!

The lightning setup for this photo is somewhat complicated:

About half of the light is from the external leds, the other half is bounced light from the microscope illuminator from the bottom (there is a central stop to block direct light plus the underside of the slide is blackened around the subject).
