Is this the same one ?
I don't think this is a dic prism, or perhaps it could be a dic prism but more likely for leica microscope.

Re: Zeiss Photomicroscope DIC Inko questions.

Thank you all. The equipment should work even with the IIIRS fluoro unit as long as you're not going through fluoro filters in the unit. That's not good news for me.I already ordered the nosepiece turrent. I know how to use all the DIC components.I tried with Zeiss Neofluar 16x and 40x Ph objectives...

Re: My First Attempts at Digital Photomicrography

Congratulations on your first attempts. One thing is certain that your photos are too dark. I suggest you change the light in the microscope for a stronger one. Try to play with different white balance settings. I also suggest using the smallest ISO 100-400. I also allowed myself to copy your photo ...

Re: Pine needle-fluorescence,

Thank you. great images! Are these permanent mounted or fresh? They were fixed in FAA,PEG1500 embbeded and hand cut. Great images. In the latter three images, which I assume to be with acridine orange, there appears to be a superb differentiation of tissues, if in fact the various colours actually r...

Re: Pine needle-safranin,fast green staining.

Hi Bob
I haven't tried to embbeding the sample into PEG yet and cut on a microtome, I am going to try it soon but I know that this technique is practiced but in harder PEG for example PEG4000.

Re: Pine needle-safranin,fast green staining.

Thank you all for the comments. The embedding procedure in Peg1500 is as follows: After fixation in FAA, I transfer the sample to 20% PEG solution for several hours, preferably 24 hours, then transfer it to 90% PEG solution for several hours, and then transfer the sample from 90% PEG solution straig...

Pine needle-safranin,fast green staining.

After many attempts I managed to stain the pine needle with safranin and fast green. This is not what I expected but so far this is the best result. I have to keep trying to get better results. The pine needle was fixed in FAA and then embedded in PEG1500 for better cutting.I cut the needle under a ...
