camera adapter for Carl Zeiss Jena Amplival

Ideally I'd like to be able to connect my Canon digital camera to my newly acquired Carl Zeiss Jena Amplival. From what I can tell in the German-language literature, this microscope did have a trinocular tube/adapter system to connect to a 35 mm camera. Have any of you seen these tube/adapter system...

Re: Recommend grease?

I found a lubricant manufacturer/supplier recommendation from Kay Hoerster on the German Mikro-Forum for this company - Losimol. They provide technical specifications for their lubricants. http://www.losimol.de/en/home/

sourcing test slides

Would appreciate recommendations re. where to purchase test slides:

E.g.,

1. Well-stained section, plant or animal.
2. Low contrast specimen (unstained section, cheek cell scrape), also suitable for phase contrast.
3. Diatom test slide (Klaus Kemp).
4. Onion root section stained for chromosomes.

I have a profile of apiculture in the province in the November issue of the AME...

Re: Recommend grease?

I'm preparing to service my recently acquired vintage Carl Zeiss Jena Amplival microscope. I note that Nye Lubricants still makes the 795A synthetic damping grease. What would you recommend as alternatives to the PP269 light oil and MM176F heavy oil? ----------------------- Just a note. Nye, formerl...

Hello from Newfoundland

I just purchased an old Carl Zeiss Jena Amplival phase contrast microscope that I found in an antique shop in western Canada. I want to use it for apicultural applications such as Nosema spp. spore counts and pollen identification in honey, bee bread, etc. It's been 40 years since I took university ...
