Thank you for your reply. The microscope is a Brunel Scholar (similar to SP-52. It came with a digital camera, second image attached. If I've understood Alan Wood's web page then there might be two options. One: as you suggest, a male dovetail adapter to fit the trinocular part (38.03mm max opening)...

My microscope camera came with eyepiece adapters. However, I want to use the trinocular photo tube which is a different shape (see attached image). Do I need an adapter to make a better fit than just putting in an eyepiece adapter? Thanks
