Hi All !
Can you please give me a comment on this purely mechanical adaptor to connect my Fuji camera to the microscope ? It goes directly in the microscope tube.

2) Is it for the correct application? The specs are on the barrel or can be found in a catalogue( hopefully). Specifically, watch out for the cover slip requirement. It will be either a decimal, usually .17 but sometimes .18 a hyphen - or a 0. Decimals are for cover only, the zero for no cover and ...

Re: A Riddle for you,: Apo or Planar ?
The achomatic objective will give an image that has colour fringes right next to the structures. A very good object to test this is a stage micrometer. You can get them from China for about 9β¬. A stained plant section is about the worst object for a test. A diatom slide would be an other useful tes...

Re: A Riddle for you,: Apo or Planar ?
Lighting this yellow will probably suppress the differences quite a bit. I have seen similar effects when looking at insects in amber, color correction doesn't matter as much when everything is yellow. Hi, when I have used this Leica with halogen light for the first time, I was pretty disappointed ...

Re: A Riddle for you,: Apo or Planar ?
Pumpkin stem #2 looked better to me. Didn't check the others. No idea if that's "right." The most obvious defect comparing an apo to achro objective is color fringing, which as noted above isn't as obvious with a deeply yellow-orange background. Depending on the objective, the additional lenses and...

Thanks Well, the eyecups are definetly something i need. I am not sure how people can keep the right distance from the eyepieces without them .. External diameter is 33mm. So, one of the below should fit: https://www.amazon.it/copri-oculare-gomma-morbida-microscopio-binocolo/dp/B07VHCMTVJ/ref=mp_s_a...

Yes, I will still wait 1-2 more weeks. Well..anyway, ebay insurance will (should) cover me and I am ready for a new fishing/hunting ! Maybe this time I will directly look for a trinocular.

Re: 20x nikon plan apo infinite objectives on eBay for 100bux
I'll second that. These were a bargain at $160 a year or two ago. These objectives are good enough to go out of your way to get a stand for just the 20x. They'll also fit a Leica DMLS and the head corrections in these older Leica scopes are near enough neutral to satisfy most (or at least me). Also...

I make the questions and I answer myself   The objective FOV that Leica states for the objectives is just the maximum Field of view where the Flatness of field is guaranteed... Re: Leica PL Fluotar 100x/0.90 Dry
Now..my theorical question:
I understood that the Field of view depends from the eyepiece field number and from the total magnification.
So the objective should not have any influence on the FoV. So..not sure why Leica indicate the FoV on the objectice

Re: Leica PL Fluotar 100x/0.90 Dry
Two things to consider. First, these are meant for reflected, not transmitted, light. So they won't be in focus for slides with a cover slip. Might be OK for smears. Second, while it's handy not to have to oil an objective, I've never gotten as good resolution from a dry 60x and higher objective as...

Thanks David, yes it has a Mini (Type C) HDMI port and that could be a good solution even if an eyepiece camera is someway more pratical and easier to transport.
Toupcam camera seems intersting..but there is an infinite choice
