… and don’t forget you will need the two adapters
The T2-T2 and the T2-60 right ? as in the image above from Zeiss website. - so another 500 Eur plus 150Eur sigh!
P.S. __ Have you seen this price : https://www.fishersci.pt/shop/products/ ... s/11856432

Trinocular head bought - what else I need for my dSLR Canon 750d

Dear friends, Finally, I found a Zeiss trinocular head part number 452909 [01] for my Axiolab re microscope and I want to attach my Canon 750d camera. While it is on its way, what else do I need to buy please, possibly from eBay or amazon? I have the Amscope x2 adapter and I can use its T2 adaptor, ...

Re: Images from x1000 and AxioLab Re - is image quality as expected or crap and need to upgrade?

Agree with all comments above... but two more issues, maybe I'm wrong... 1) sure the last spores with spines are 18 micron diameter? I would guess 9! There is 100x objective and 2x Amscope adapter, total 200x. The pixels of 750D are 3,7 micron; thus one pixel is 3,7/200 = 0,0185 micron. Max resolut...

Re: Euromex or Motic?

I picked up a like new Euromex iscope with plan phase ∞ LED. Under £300 all in, I asked the seller if they where ok with that as it was the bay. I was genuinely disappointed for them to loose around £1000 in only a few months. As a hobby learning to clean and care for a microscope should be high on...

About LiveView: LiveView always uses EFCS. The mechanical shutter needs to be open to produce a picture in LiveView. For viewfinder use EFCS can be activated as well.

Re: Images from x1000 and AxioLab Re - is image quality as expected or crap and need to upgrade?

The problem may be your eye-piece adapter. They are quite afocal. The issue increases with the power of the objective. A 100x objective may simply be out of focus. Try a dry and well fixed sample without cover glas. This allows the objective to be closer to the sample. About LiveView: LiveView alwa...

Re: Images from x1000 and AxioLab Re - is image quality as expected or crap and need to upgrade?

Here are some spores of a Gasteromycete fungus (likely Mycenastrum / Scleroderma) approx the best I can get from the EOS750D plus the adapter fitted in the eyepiece. Resized, sharpened and some mild contrast adjustment. The spores are about 18um - as we discussed, these spherical bodies cant be focu...

Many thanks to those who had helped with EFSC on the 750D, known as silent mode (frame with s icon at the corner). As you correctly pointed this function is available only when viewing with the viewfinder. Focusing my image with the viewfinder is quite impractible and cant be considered. I have to r...

Here you can find information on the electonic first shutter curtain menu setting: https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/au/tutorials/canon-school-set-up-your-canon-eos-camera-for-silent-shooting In higher magnifications the shock of the shutter is enough to blur the image. Re: Images from x100 and AxioLab Re - is image quality as expected or crap and need to upgrade?

These other folks are much more advanced than I, but my curiousity demands a few questions. I'm not familiar with the AxioLab but I do know a Canon/Zeiss combo should give better images unless there is a problem with your 100x objective. 1) Are you focusing via the camera screen or the other eyepie...

Re: Images from x100 and AxioLab Re - is image quality as expected or crap and need to upgrade?

Whether a condenser is abbe or achromat does not affect the resulting image very much. The resulting difference is subtle. It certainly will not cause your image to be mush. If the N.A. of the objective exceeds the functional N.A. of the condenser, then the condenser will impose a limitation upon t...

Re: Images from x100 and AxioLab Re - is image quality as expected or crap and need to upgrade?

Your photos do not look to be affected bu shutter shock to me but I can see why you are not satisfied with the results. My experience with Zeiss finite optics is that the old adage is true - 400x will show you 90% of what is possible to see. I have 100x oil objectives and both dry and oil 63x, but ...

I found this page last night: https://www.first-nature.com/fungi/index1binom.php Most of the high-power images appear to be ‘useful but unexceptional’ … so they are probably a realistic benchmark. [ not sure where you would place them on the WOW-scale ] The whole site seems nicely organised, and we...

Re: Anyone works with a Motic BA 400 / BA410 series.

Used to have one. It's roughly comparable to an Olympus BX40 or a Nikon E400, but with a slightly lower build quality. Mine had Motic Plan Fluorite objectives, which were good, but again not quite as good as their Olympus (UPlan Fl) and Nikon (Plan Fluor) equivalents. The trinocular head was limite...
