Hi Eric, in the meantime I have decided to build also BX51 DIC system, my setup so far is: BX51TF + 100 HAL PLAPON 2x UPLSAPO 10x (I have U-DP10 prism but no U-DIC10 prism) UPLSAPO 20x (I have U-DIC20) UPLSAPO 40x (I have U-DIC40) I have also U-DP2, U-DP40, U-DIC100 and U-DFA darkfield prism UPLAPO1...

I have one with my BX51 but not for sale. If you need however some information, I can help.

Does your PlanAPOs worik with DIC? Acc. to Olympus they are not sutiable, only UPlanAPOs and higher. Thank you.

The condensers are pretty easy to find. The slider and intermediate tubes however are extremely hard to find. I just bought the first set I've seen in more than a year. And the slider needs repair!

Hello all, I just got SPlan APO 10x (not sure which version, apparently there are two) which has comma aberration, not possible to focus and hwen refocusing image deforms greatly. I think there must be something loosen inside or missaligned, though I can not imagine how it could happen. May be tight...

If this si true:
x-axis: distance from the optical axis, mm

y-axis: % chromatic aberration in the intermediate image with 20mm

than I read it opposite:
Nikon best, then Olympus and then Zeiss

Wish you all the best with the new microscope. I have also BH2 with DPlans and also number of Apos from Zeiss but DPlans are great, if not better - higher contrast mostly but then ... I am still learning
