How much did you end up paying for the DF oil condenser if you don’t mind me asking. Thanks! (Looking for one/considering it for my microscope)
I paid $500 for it. I see there are a couple on eBay now for around that price.

Re: Help with Leica DMLB

I agree with the others that you will probably be happiest in obtaining a new stand. But are the Fluotar objectives in good condition? If so, those are WELL worth the price you paid. If you can get a partial refund, buy another Leica stand, and use those Fluotar objectives on it, you’ll have a reall...

Re: Proposal for New Sub-Forum: Morphology and Behavior

I love this idea and enthusiastically support the motion! Behavior is to me the most interesting aspect of microscopy — otherwise I’d just look at mounted slides rather than wrangling the living beings. While physical description is important in identification, I’d love to not have to wade through t...

I think you have a newer lamp house with an older power supply. The older 5-prong male connector is shown in this eBay listing:

Re: New to me: early 1950s Leitz BS 48/92k with Heine

That’s so cool that you got it, having recognized the Heine! I know what you mean about how these vintage scopes can look smaller in photos. My Zeiss GFL looks like a toy in some photos but is surprisingly full-sized in person! Slightly taller than my BHS, in fact. You can see there’s definitely som...

And what’s that silver lever or clamp thing below the head? Does the tube somehow slide vertically for some reason?

LabCam Pro camera adapter for iPhone 7/8/SE 2020

Hi all, I’m selling my LabCam Pro iPhone adapter in like-new condition. This adapter lets you mount an iPhone 7, 8, or 2020 SE (SE2) to any microscope via an eyepiece or trinocular port to take pics and videos. Cheaper adapters use plastic lenses but this one uses “The iDu Optics SmartLens, made fro...
