Excellent buy. I have one just like that as my main instrument. It is very flexible, handling both short barrel and long barrel, preferrable on different objective turrets, of course. Remedy for eyepiece delamination

Some of my old Zeiss eyepieces developed delamination around the edges. The remedy was to open up the eyepiece, accessing the delaminated group, and aplying a bit of immersion oil on the edge. The oil seeps by capilarity into the delaminated space. The oil drop should be located as to seep from one ...

Difficult to tell. Old Zeiss eyepieces are prone to delamination, mostly near the edges. But if this is the case, there is a partial remedy: dissassemble the eyepiece (a quite straightforward operation) and wet the sides of the delaminated elements with good quality immersion oil.
