Re: Adjust eyepiece width
Removing the plate gave us enough access to free it up. Thanks for all the help. That grease sure hardens up!

Re: Adjust eyepiece width
When you say "the four screws on the reverse", which screws are you referring to? I did find a Dynazoom manual and have an exploded view.
I have Ballistol, Hoppe's, and Rem Oil and will start with one of those before taking anything apart.

Re: Adjust eyepiece width
Thank you. They are very stiff. When I got it, the coarse focus knob wouldn't turn. We took off the base and cleaned the hardened grease and now that works. I can't budge the eye pieces beyond a little wiggle. Would spraying some WD40 or other solvent/lubricant be a good idea?

Adjust eyepiece width
I recently acquired a B &L Binocular microscope. I need to move the eyepieces closer together. By looking in the manual and the breakdown, I think I need to loosen the screws pictured (and the two on the other side) and the eye pieces should slide closer together. You guys are great!! We removed the base and cleaned the gears with WD 40 and it's freed up now.

Re: Coarse Focus Doesn't Turn
Thank you for all the help. I'd appreciate an exploded view if it's possible. I know nothing about microscopes, so excuse some dumb questions. I basically just use one for fecal egg counts on my flock of sheep. I was looking to upgrade my old one and found this one and went "WOW". Someone mentioned ...

Re: Coarse Focus Doesn't Turn
Would putting some solvent or lubricant between the knob and the arm be worth a try?

Coarse Focus Doesn't Turn
I just bought this Bausch and Lomb microscope. It's from the '60's. Everything looks in really good shape except the coarse focus knob won't turn so the stage doesn't move up and down. I found the manual for the Dynazoom and it shows a stage set screw, but this one doesn't have one that I can find. ...
