Re: to sell :Wild Leica operating stereomicroscope rotation plate 445349
Hello,
In fact I've received several parts/add-ons for M8 just few days ago and finally I don't think to need more...
In fact, I've no idea about an additional part which could be helpful for me, except good eyepieces, or eventually add-on for a LeicaM420 !

Hello, I've got a Wild power unit like this one: P1110588.resized.JPG But it seems to have had some modifications in wires output (see pictures)...... Re: higher magnifications with a M4/3 camera on a Leica M420?
Question about teleconverter 1.5x or 2x : Is the distance between TC and camera sensor specific to each type? As in fact, I could have a Nikon teleconverter but I wonder if I put an adapter between it and the M4/3 camera, therefore increasing it's normal distance, if it could work correctly ? Thank ...

higher magnifications with a M4/3 camera on a Leica M420?
On my Leica M420 I use directly a M4/3 Panasonic GX80 body, just fixed with an adapter (a 38mm tube fixed in a Olympus M4/3 bayonet ring), on top of the original makroscope photo tube (see pictures) But if I want to get higher magnifications, without using a specific Leica/Wild M420 add-on (1.5x or ...

16mm round coverslips exchange
Hello,
Anybody would agree to exchange good quality round 14mm coverslips with other ones a bit larger: 16 or 18 mm?
I would also give the 3 yellow "plates" on the picture if useful for anybody...

Re: Olympus BH-2 head opening
I don't know if this head is a CH2 or a BH2 head but the microscope basement has a BH-2 label! Yes the bottom optic part should be very sticky as I couldn't remove it once the 3 screws are off.... The problem I have without taking of the 3 glued screws is one rail of the light path selector is compl...

Olympus BH-2 head opening
I've tried to open this trinocular head, removing the 4 screws on its bottom After that, I could with a hairdryer warm the light pass selector item which was completely blocked ! I also wanted to remove the bottom optic hold with 3 screws (see picture), but in fact 3 others screws inside are also ho...

Re: Wild polarizer part ?
I have used this item (supposed to be a Wild M5 accessory) in order to make a support for circular pol. filter adapted for my Leica M420! I could screw on it a new 43mm pol. filter for camera, once removing unusefull parts and making a new screw setting allowing to move the circular pol. filter. So ...

Re: WTB: Wild M8 0.4x auxiliary lens
Hello,
Anybody knows if these lenses for Wild 690 (150mm to 300mm) are "plan" or achromatic ones?
And for a 150mm and a 170mm used as auxilliary lenses on a M8, what is their magnification coefficient?
Thank you

Re: Wild polarizer part ?
This part fit on a 58 mm (diameter) objective, therefore not a M8.....
I've also a similar one, but with no "glass" on its side to fix on an objective!
It could also be place under the M420 objective to receive a polarizer filter.....
Better then holding it by hand

Hello Anybody knows the use of this part? I suppose it is a polarizer system as the bottom part could be turn around completely or moved aside But I don't know how it is supposed to work and with which stereomicroscope? https://zupimages.net/up/23/42/588p.jpg https://zupimages.net/up/23/42/m2oe.jpg ...

Hello, As I would like to take picture, with my new Leica M420, of entomological slides (mainly genital structures with a rather relief surface), I wonder about the best lighting to use, in order to avoid bad reflections/glare on the glass slides with coverslip..... Thank you Scarodactyl for your answer.
I'll therefore try to remove front plate in order to see if cleaning is possible
I'll wait for other advices for bottom part, but by sure I'll not try to open the apozoom of which optics is very clear and clean!

Hello, As I've just got "at least" this very desirable macroscope Leica M420 with an Apozoom, I would like to clean inside optics, as some dust or tiny bit of dirt appear when observing items with a closed diaphragm! When removing the zoom and looking through diaphragm inside the macroscope, I can a...
