Many pics .....but they seem too large to attach here.
Any suggestions?
My cell phone can't change image size.
You can reduce the size of your images and upload directly, or use an external image hosting site and attach here

This would also be for my OM-1 camera system which is a Micro 4/3 lens. Please excuse me for coming late to this discussion … I have read trough the previous posts, and this statement leaves me confused. If, as you confirmed yesterday, your OM-1 has a mirror … then it would surely be the original 3...

I agree, the offer is very friendly.

Just need to trust Charlie g more than Jeff Bezos or AmScope :)

I bought a lot of stuff from forums, some I wasn't even active in. And never had a problem...

Re: Several choices of microscopes; what's your opinion?

I came here with a similar question a while ago, got the advice to get a used one. Bought an old Zeiss with a lot of accessories (objectives, eyepieces) and never looked back, after that I got few more. Some I kept some passed on or sold... (Still have the first one) Maybe someone on the forum has s...

Let's say, all things being equal between two microscopes, except one has a 25mm "fine focus range" and the other has a 30mm "fine focus range", which would be a better choice? Why? Or does this not really matter much as far as choosing a microscope for a hobbyist? I searched but sadly found nothin...

I dont know if this would work for your particular microscope but see here: https://microscopyofnature.com/low-budget-condenser-darkfield-phase-contrast-and-circular-oblique-illumination Or perhaps this?: http://www.microscopy-uk.org.uk/mag/indexmag.html?http://www.microscopy-uk.org.uk/mag/artjan01...

Diy phase contrast on BHS

Hi, I have a BHS with a 1.4 condenser. Using the printed insert designed by Carl H for darkfield patches. I just had a thought, maybe I could get a PH objective and then print a patch of the right size to obtain phase contrast? Anyone did that, should be possible, why not? The 1.4 is soo good, I lik...

Re: Advices to improve my pictures

I love both images. As with all photography I think the most important thing is to find an interesting subject and if it is alive catch the right moment to take the picture. Or for microscopy prepare the specimen nicely, remove the dirt, which is not always easy, especially if you want to keep them ...

Re: PZO mst 127 focus repair

5x eyepieces are a bad idea for visual use. They cover the same real field of view as 10x eyepieces, but shrinks it down to a much smaller apparent field of view. Like looking down a roll of toilet paper. A pair of the good and cheap 10x/22 would be a better option. I didn't know that, thanks for t...

PZO mst 127 focus repair

Hi, I just got a PZO mst 127 stereo microscope, the whole package is complete. I'll clean, repair and give to a friend, he'll probably use it for occasional electronic repairs. I told him to get wf5x eyepieces from Aliexpress. Not sure how wide field they give, but surely wider than the 12.5x curren...

Re: Is my head broken/misaligned?

Micrometer is helpful in these situations, if you don't have one you can print or draw a quasi micrometer on paper or transparent foil. Not as precise as micrometer but still with the lowest mag objective you'll be able to see if the view is different in 2 tubes... If it is the same then the head is...

I think you might be looking for this one: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mLuqmSG As Scarodactyl already said, you need more than this. I think a bellows with a focusing rail is your best bet. Or without a rail if you already have one you can use... Although you can make pictures just with an adapter, bu...

It is cheaper to buy a used full frame camera than nfk 1.67. I have a Sony and it serves me well.

Re: What grease to use for relubricate microscope parts?

Ate plastilube is cheap and good, quite tacky, doesn't separate. (car parts store should have it, it is used for disk brakes)
Depending on the application you may need something lighter, Helimax xp was recommended to me as a lighter grease, but I never bought it as I didn't find it in Europe.

Re: Need help with a stuck part on a Zeiss PM3 tube head

Hello Tlansing, thrust me, from my own experience do not try to remove the threaded brass sleeve...it is not required and has NO benefit. Just remove the small retaining ring from the "shaft / pin", should work with a tweezer. Then you can remove all the interns (spring, shaft-pin) as shown on the ...

Re: Need help with a stuck part on a Zeiss PM3 tube head

If memory serves me right, the the unit needs to be unscrewed out and not pulled out. The set screw keeps it from turning. I put tape around the exposed threads if it needs more force than just the fingers and unscrew the unit. Then soak in a solvent or WD-40 and work the plunger back and forth. Th...

Re: Need help with a stuck part on a Zeiss PM3 tube head

If you unscrew the set screw I think the assembly should come out. If it doesn't then apply ethanol and try again. Just pull it out. Be careful with 100% ethanol as it might damage the paint. I remember removing the assembly on my GFL, but don't have it here so cannot check. But can't think of any o...

There is a set screw in a small hole just near the spring at 3 o clock. I think it holds the thing in place, so unscrew, soften with ethanol and try to remove. Just careful not to damage the set screw

Re: Need help with a stuck part on a Zeiss PM3 tube head

I think you should be able to remove the whole spring screw assembly by unscrewing the set screw. Just carefully and with a right screwdriver as Zeiss set screws are easy to break. Then soak in gasoline, ethanol or whatever, disassemble, regrease and assemble... You did unscrew the cap completely? I...

We have a lot better image since having a FF camera (12MP), 35mm film was what the manufacturer had in mind when building the microscope.
FF isn't about more pixels but about sensor size.
