Need ID help with Estuary sample

these similar plankton appeared in spring and fall in our plankton water samples from the Kennebec River in Maine. I have not seen anything similar in the last 3 years of sampling.
Anyone want to weigh in on this?

plankton ID please

This showed up in a plankton sample from the Kennebec River in Maine. We see a lot of freshwater and marine species because of all the rain we have been having this summer. Any ideas about what these might be?

Re: Larval something like bivalve

I understand. I haven't learned to scale things yet. We use a grid slide divided into 1000 squares so when the corner of the square is in the picture, it is a reference.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will look those up.

Larval something like bivalve

Any ideas on this marine plankton clam-looking plankton? It is from the Kennebec River Estuary (again) in Maine. It appeared to have a ring of short hairs around the outside - cilia or just a mirage?

Maybe part of a plant

Could this be part of a plant? It came from the Kennebec River Estuary in Maine. I saw something like this last year, also but otherwise have not seen in our water samples. This is 10X.

Re: Need ID for many pronged thing

Found out that it is probably a copepod antenna. This corresponds with copepod photos I have seen online. Must be much bigger copepod that I have photographed in Kennebec water samples to date.

It does look just like the online pics of Keratella cochlearis. I am happy to know what this is as I hadn't seen one in our water samples before.

Thanks for the ideas. It sure looks hairy. I can't find anything like it in all my books or online references for marine plankton.

Last one for today. This lovely thing is from another summer 2021 sample as an estuary of the Kennebec River in Georgetown, Maine.
I can't find any clues in all the online research I have tried or books. Anyone recognize this?
