Re: LOMO Mbp-1
Thank you for the link which I will take a look at. In the meantime, the fitting seems to be B15 so I was wondering whether as a direct replacement one of these might work as a quick and dirty drop-in replacement? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272969921871?hash=item3f8e46754f Obviously, as with the ori...

Re: LOMO Mbp-1
Well I managed to release the faulty bulb! It turns out that the aluminium piece that fits into the lamp barrel has to be rotated and slackened off the lamp holder before the bulb can be removed. The penetrating fluid may have helped the inner and outer metal pieces to come apart. An interesting ar...

Re: LOMO Mbp-1
What is also a good idea is to buy a secondhand Olympus Koehler light, see this:
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=14305
Which you can probably convert to LED as well.

Re: LOMO Mbp-1
@ Amoeba: A lot of Lomo produscts are coming from Russia, Belarus or Ukrain, so due to the Russian invasion I will not order anything from Russia or Belarus. For Ukrain is different, but I am affraid that at the moment they cannot deliver, lots of families lost everything. So maybe you can find in G...

Re: LOMO Mbp-1
You have a very nice scope there Amoeba, the rotating table is a very big plus. For myself I have a Lomo Biolam D1 with a square table and CT-12 crosstable. For Lomo are lots and lots accesoires available, I should defenitly keep it and 30 pounds is a steel. Like Apochronaut pointed out objectives a...

Re: Lomo 85x/1.0 coverglass ring stuck
Thanks Pete, yes I am glad that it works fine now, it was a new experience and not that easy because about everything was stuck, starting with the lenscap to dismantle.
Hope to find one day a nice 60x waterimmersion to complete it, have the 40x waterimmersion as well.

Re: Lomo 85x/1.0 coverglass ring stuck
Finally, after taking everything apart, cleaned it thoroughly , put several marks and making a lot of photo's , relubed it with special grease for instruments, replaced all the parts back again. Now working fine. I thank everybody on this forum for the tips as well as Mr. Sterrenburg on Micscape for...

Re: Lomo 85x/1.0 coverglass ring stuck
I was able to remove the lenscap by applying heat from a hairdryer on the lowest heat position and checked temperature with a digital meter, so on exact 40 degrees Celsius I was able to loosen the lenscap .

Re: Lomo 85x/1.0 coverglass ring stuck
Thanks Patta for the reply, as from now with a drop of oil the coverslip ring is working again, so far so good. But I wonder leave it as it is, or take the objective apart for fully regrease? My problem with this objective that the lenscap or tip as you name it , will not come loose, or does it need...

Re: Lomo 85x/1.0 coverglass ring stuck
Hello Apochronaut, Thanks for the information, I will try it with thin oil. Yes I am familiar with the Soviet grease used in their microscopes, around 2014 I found my Biolam miscroscope back and the first thing I noticed that course and fine focus was completely seized. So then I took it apart ,clea...
