I got an Oly BX40CY for parts. The brochure from Olympus states that the -CY lowers the nosepiece and stage to make the scope more ergonomic since the stage is closer to the table. microb, how did your homemade U-READB adapter work? I’m in need of a U-READB also and I wanted to see if making (machining or even 3d printing) an adapter is viable.

Thanks! I think I did see your post about adapting bh2 turrets to bx40. I will give some more thought to which direction I want to go.

I am working on rebuilding a BX40 and I want to add a revolving nosepiece turret with slot for analyzer or dic slider. I need an adapter called U-READB. WANTED Olympus U-READB
I’m cobbling together a microscope and I would like to upgrade the revolving nosepiece of a BX40 to a 6-place turret with analyzer slot. I believe I need the U-READB to properly adapt from the BX40 to the new turret. If anyone has a lead on a U-READB for sale, I would greatly appreciate it!
