Difference between Olympus UVFL and DPlan UV objectives.
I’m just investigating fluorescence and was curious what the difference between these two series are. The UVFL ones look similar to they style of SPlan Apo objectives but only the DPlan UV objectives are mentioned in the BH2 catalog. Do you know what the differences are and the pros and cons of each?

Objective mounting standards? CW or CCW
Wondering if there are general standards for the direction that objectives are mounted. When on the microscope do you spin clockwise or counter clockwise to increase magnification.

Re: Olympus BH2-BHT
Hey, this is an perhaps "old school" forum. You can add additional info and images in a single post (here) instead of posting new topics. Also it might be helpful if you list what objectives are included as they seem to be a mish mash from a number of different series and companies (E A, DPlan, Edmu...

Fluorescent light theory for science and photography
I've been learning about fluorescence for microscopy and have open questions about the science behind it. I'm doing my research primarily in the context of the BH2-RFC setup. For the BH2-RFCA attachment, there are a number of cubes which contain a exciter filter (band pass), dichroic mirror (acts li...

I think that the eye pieces are swappable from the listed number of magnifications. Probably can't use both at the same time - just a quick swap mechanism like it has for the objectives.

Re: [BH2] Can I add transmitted light DIC capabilities to a UMA-DIC microscope
In addition, I've noticed that the DIC attachments on the objectives are different for the UMA model (kinda like an orange slice) versus the transmitted light version (round). Are these essentially equivalent and just different models or do they function differently?

[BH2] Can I add transmitted light DIC capabilities to a UMA-DIC microscope
Hi I recently acquired a BH2-UMA with DIC microscope. I am interested in many things from chips to rocks for which I wanted the reflected light microscopy, but I would also like to use my microscope for biological purposes as well. I was wondering whether I would be able to stack a transmitted light...
