Hey thanks for the shout, nice to meet you.

I don't have background in microscopy/biology.. but has always interested me.
I have more of an engineering / tool building background (might spend more time making tooling for it jaja).

I'm quite a while away from the city of Barcelona, btw.

Not answer to the question persé, just offering an alternative. if your goal is simply to use the tap/die to clean up plastic 3d printed parts, you could go about it another way: the usual places for cheap chinese stuff sell a lot of these adaptors, from RMS thread, to whatever other thread or tube ...

I like your use of the '3d drawing pen' to make the light housing, looking pretty neat.

What kind of performance are you getting out of your mod?
