My Nikon E800 does not produce color by default except with the 100x prism which shows some when pulled out of position. I think it would need the wave plate to do so. Anyone who has access to a Nikon TE2000 could let me know the length (in mm) of the side port tube (the length of the white part when the tube is removed from the side port)?

Did you make the set of cables (that connect the scan head to the controller) or you bought them made. I had to made mines (each galvano cable (x and Y) is splitted in two cables to isolate the controls from the power (high current, the cables have shield).
