Re: SW380T 5mp camera pic quality

Louise Louise, is it just my eyes or is your T tube ever so slightly focused slightly different than your eyepieces? Not off enough to worry about. I'd never see it unless the images are side by side. I'll see if I can find a download of that same software. I've got a set of 120 prepared slides to ...

Re: SW380T 5mp camera pic quality

There is a lot of experience to tap-into on this forum. MichaelG. I respect and appreciate the collective wisdom in this forum. I try to search for answers before I ask questions. I'm certainly on a learning curve. But, I'm enjoying the journey. There's one very important camera spec noticeably mis...

Re: SW380T 5mp camera pic quality

The Swift EasyView software see's it as: "5.0M-2 USB 2.0 Camera". The camera body has: Swift Microscope Eyepiece Camera S/N 010919 5.0MP Live Color Image Model: EP5R 5.0MP Max Res: 2592 x 1944 Switching the camera between the trinocular and an eyepiece doesn't appear to affect the pic on a HD pc scr...

SW380T 5mp camera pic quality

I have a SW380T that came with an OEM 5mp camera. The camera connects fine to a pc. However, the picture quality is not very good. I've lengthened and shortened the camera tube many times to find the cleanest image. The camera image is darker and much less defined/sharp as the eyepieces. The white b...

Re: Interesting Slide!

If you had 2 of these beveled slides you could stack them like opposing shims. The top and bottom of the stack would be parallel. The thickness of the stack could be easily adjusted by sliding the top slide back & forth. That could be a crude focus technique for ancient scopes. I would look for a se...

Verify the right source (scope) is selected in the software.

Eye Drops

I seem to have a lot of floaters on my eyes. Sometimes I wiggle the stage to see if the floaters wiggle. I'm thinking of getting either some saline or DI water to rinse my eyeballs to cut down on the floaters. Have any of you tried eye drops to flush off some of the floaters? I don't really see a do...

Re: Wanted: Swift SW380T LED Bulb

Thank you for the reply. That sounds like a viable solution. Here's what I sent Swift: "What is the part # for a replacement/spare part LED light bulb in a newly purchased SW380T? Also, who sells the right LED bulb for a SW380T? I didn't see it on your website." Here's what they just sent back: "Tha...

Re: Collection disposal ?

I suspect Journey to Microcosmos is helping. True! We have entered into a nano generation. The 'Internet-Of-Things' has evolved into the 'Internet-Of-Bio-Nano-Things'. Researchers are now exploring the pico bio realm. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) systems powered by mitochondria and communicating with...

Wanted: Swift SW380T LED Bulb

I want to get a spare LED bulb for a Swift SW380T. This is my first scope and I have no idea what the lifespan of the bulb will be. I haven't found any part number for it. The manual only calls it a 1W LED. Fleabay searches haven't helped at all. Vendor sites that I've been to haven't listed it. I e...

Re: Newbie Slide Arm Question

Thanks! I didn't think it was right. I'll try and contact Swift and see what they say. Since the notch in the arm isn't even closed to mating with the corner of a slide, I'm inclined to believe the wrong arm was installed.

Newbie Slide Arm Question

I've been lurking here at MH for several months and this is my first microscope & newbie post. I just bought a SW380T with a 5mp camera. So far so good with it. I got a set of 120 prepared slides, so that's helped my learning curve. I haven't tried the oil lens yet. The color mismatch between the ey...
