Re: Do I need another objective?
Great point about that objective Pete. I was really only half considering it. I’m still trying out different techniques to get a bit more resolution out of my objectives. As I write, an LED/flash unit is winging its way to Canada. That may prove to be helpful. I also sometimes wonder if my immersio...

Re: B&L Stereozoom SZ7 accessiories
At this time I would be likely looking for a 1.5-2x lens to push the SZ7 upper range. Actually I am more interested in knowing if other SZ auxiliary lenses work with the SZ7. Also having an adapter that allows other commonly accessories (lenses/LED rings) to be mounted to the scope would be very use...

Re: B&L B Stand
In regards to the search for a replacement for the translucent reflector, the solution seems to be the many types of packaging for food stuffs we are blessed with. So far the candidates are a foil cover for cashews, a chocolate chip cookie package, a foil seal from a peanut butter jar, the unpolishe...

Re: B&L B Stand
I should mention that mirror part that was included has a typical concave mirror and a translucent (flat?) reflector. The translucent reflector is tarnished (delamination?)..any suggestions as to what to replace the surface with?
Thanks

B&L Stereozoom SZ7 accessiories
On a B&L SZ7 the accessory lenses use a different mounting system than the other scopes of the SZ series. Has anyone offered an adapter that allows more commonly available accessory lenses to be used on this scope? Also are any adapters that allow a LED light ring to be attached to the SZ7? Finally ...

Evolution of the Olympus microscope line
Could someone discuss the evolution of the Olympus microscope line?
From the 40s onward through to the present.
I would be interested in hearing about the changes each Olympus model involved.
From non DIN to, 160mm to infinity optics, lighting differences, etc.
Thanks

The change may or may not include physical changes to the product ...

Re: Fisher Scientific Micromaster Microscopes
Thanks for responding…
What differences did you see in the Japanese versus Chinese manufactured scopes?
No Kohler? I thought the scopes I saw did have Kohler.
Objectives I have seen have been the plan Chinese objectives common at the time 2000-2010?.
Thanks

Could someone discuss the subject of the Fisher Scientific Micromaster series of scopes?
I would be interested in hearing the history, age and build quality of this line.
From what I have seen, they seem to be a line of stencil scopes from about 10-15 years ago.
Thanks

Re: Does Anybody Recognize this Inverted 'Scope?
Gerry, It looks pretty straightforward and of decent construction. I'm not sure a Chinglish manual will add much to your understanding. The exception to that would be if the objectives are phase contrast and the condenser annulli are missing -- and you hope to find something that matches. If so, yo...
