Nikon didn't design a prism for PlanFluor 60x.
My experience with 60X Plan Fluor dry and its prism: I use PF/PA 100 oil or PA 60x oil, and it works and the results are great.
But to observe protists I think the best is 60x Plan Apo WI, but i''s difficult to find it at a suitable price.

Re: For exchange: Temperature controlled stage
Would this be only compatible with Nikon microscopes or is it more universal than that? And what would be your asking price for it in the case of a swap not being possible? Unless you are also interested in Wild and Leitz parts :-) It is compatible with other microscopes (as you can see on there we...

Re: Portraits of plankton-update 1-
My adventure has just begun... For years, I have been dedicating myself to marine benthos, especially the Antarctic ofiuroids (echinodermata). I have not been to Antarctica, but I was fortunate enough to be able to identify the specimens from several British and German expeditions and then did sever...

Thank you very much for all your comments! Magnesium chloride is a narcotic that is used to slow down the movements of numerous invertebrate groups as well as of many protozoa. I use it in pure, crystallized form, which is how it is sold as a food supplement. So I add it little by little to the samp...

Re: Soap bubbles
Hi,
First of all, thank you so much for your comments.
While running a DIC-test, looking for a good differential contrast resolution in the bubbles, I was pleasantly surprised by their fluid metal appearance.
So, as a result, here is one more image.
