Re: Pond water aquarium for home

Thank you @macnmotion for your response, with further encouragement. I will just go ahead, like yourself, and deal with whatever happens. I would suggest you to simply go ahead and make one. I don’t think there are specific modern books about it (antique books on the topic may exist but would be ve...

Re: Pond water aquarium for home

Wow. Very encouraging to see your tank set-up. I have been thinking about doing the same thing. So far I have not yet found a good book, or PDF, about creating a pond terrarium/vavarrium specifically for microscopy specimens. I am sure that info is out there, but not yet found it. I bought a book En...

Re: FOR STARTERS

A few weeks ago a friend loaned me his stereo microscope Kyowa_SZM, 0.6x - 3x. the veiw seemed cloudy, and was still a bit cloudy after I cleaned the exposed lens with a camera lens cleaner. I am not game to clean inside. Nevertheless I experimented with trying to take photos through the eyepiece. I...

About 30 years ago I found a similar scope in a Salvation Army rubbish bin (yes, I was a bit of a scrounger then). It i...

Hello from Peter

Just starting microscopy as a hobby. My knowledge about it is very limited. A few days ago I my microscope arrived; a trinocular Optico_107T with 5Mp camera. Yesterday my awaited book arrived, Microscopy and Microtechnique by R Maritmuthu. It ought to cover everything I need to know. Currently worki...
