Re: Lomo objective designations
It is quite good and covers full frame sensors if I remember correctly, assuming one shoots focus stacks, because it is not plan. It was actually my exact LOMO 3.7x that RobertOToole tested and praised, after which the price went up dramatically. Congratulations !! I was looking back at his reviews...

Re: Lomo objective designations
Hello. Thank you for this thread. Can someone suggest the meaning of the following symbol on a LOMO water immersion objective? IMG_5630.jpeg Thanks. At a very wild guess, I would say it’s a simple biconvex lens element ! … but I hope that’s not valid What other markings are there on the objective b...

I am stunned that MichaelG required snail-mail postal from 'UK-eBay'. charlie g Not actually from ebay, charlie g The snail-mail arrangement was imposed by Tesco Bank [the supplier of my MasterCard] They posted a special letter, with a tear-off security layer embedded … this revealed the six-digit ...

More detail from Leitz >> less comprehension This, from one of the Heine Condenser leaflets is “interesting” . source Right.jpeg . All I can say is that the 63x is a very pleasing objective to use … its working distance is longer than that of the 10x … and the resolution is all one could reasonably ...

Strangely enough … I recognised the name, from an enquiry that I made in 2021 They were offering an interesting USB 3 camera at the time [before most others had made that leap] … it came to nothing, because of shipping arrangements, but I remember them being helpful and courteous. Re: How can I clean a concave lens?
.
In principle, the radius of curvature of your cleaning tool needs to be equal to, or less than, the curvature of the lens surface.
… In practice, this is getting worryingly close to being “a pointy thing” … so the answer is with great care and considerable finesse.

Thanks … I accept all the opinions
My point [badly made] was that there is a “Zeiss” microscope for which cheaper compatible Chinese objectives might be available.

This is relavent to Chinese infinity microscopes only. […] I have not seen a Zeiss knockoff system from China […] That said … am I not right in believing that the affordable range of Zeiss microscopes is made by Motic ?? MichaelG. .
