"Slightly" off-topic - I bought this recently on ebay to add to my vintage collection - It hasn't arrived yet, but very keen to use it when it comes :)

Rabitt, I used a stereo microscope, the hydra and larva was in a petri dish.

Nope, directly into the molten/heated glycerin jelly. In fact, it was a total accident - I was busy shaking out pollen - only discovered the critter when I had the slide under the microscope :mrgreen:
