Finally - an OK X-section

I have been having difficulty sectioning plant tissue; air bubbles in the vessels prevented wax infiltration.
So, thought I would try a subject without air-trapping vessels.
A small earthworm fixed in Bouin's Fluid, dehyrated in alcohol, soaked in xylene, embedded in wax.
Essentially one hollow tube (gut) inside a wider hollow tube (body wall).
10 micron section from a Lipshaw Sledge Microtome; mounted in Euparal

Olympus BH2/BHS, 2x SPlan and D Plan 4x objectives, 1.25x intermediate tube, 2.5x projection eyepiece; Nikon D810

Now to to get some histological stains, likely haematoxylin and eosin; any other recommendations for animal tissue?
