Questions about Diatom Shop Strew Slides

I'm thinking about purchasing a Strew Slide or two from the Diatom Shop.

I have a few questions I hope members here can help me with:

1. How many specimens are likely to be on a slide?
2. How many species are likely to be represented?
3. They offer slides from several locations. I can't afford them all, any recommendations?

I realize specimen numbers and species will vary from slide to slide and sampling location. I am just trying to get an idea of what to expect.

Thanks!

I have a few strews from them. Each image is about 4x3mm

Lots, species-wise -- depends on the locality. You are unlikely to find large and complete ones though.
I recommend arrangements/type slides.

Freshwater or fossil marine? Recent?
The two Oamaru sets are great, namely because New Zealand decided to restrict the export because they are some kind of heritage, of significance.
