This will be a slow burn. I do not currently own a 3d printer that can duplicate that design. I have the 3d printer that lays a layer of plastic on top of each other, I need need a resin printer that uses uv light to cure the medium to achieve the detail needed.

According to Josef Prusa, transparent filament can be printed to optical quality as seen in his video:

An SLA printer is required for color and rheinberg filters. Alcohol dyes can be used to color transparent resin as seen in this video:

Wow, their idea of "Good Optical Quality" is terrible; I think it's going to be a few more years.

Still cool and impressive what can be accomplished.

Hi Krame,
I have made a very crude extension tube for my Amscope T420 with infinity optics. I made it to be a filter holder. It ain't pretty. But it works. I'll be sending you some info regarding this. Maybe you can make one for me with your 3d printer that will be more attractive and fit the scope better. I will write soon.

Sounds good.

For some reason, I don't get notifications from this forum. I try to check regularly. PMs are at least flagged on the homepage, so that would be the easiest way right now.
