I changed my old Jenaval microscope lamp for new DIY lamp

#1 Post by autumnwalk2 » Wed Apr 21, 2021 7:10 am

The short life of the old lamp(my microscope, Jenaval) has tormented me.
1 old lamp costs $36 on ebay.
Consuming 10 lamps per year, it costs $360
Then I decided to make a DIY lamp.
Total cost is 0.9+0.9+0.8+2.5 = $5.1
And consuming 10 lamps per year, it costs only $25.
New DIY lamp is brighter than old one. :D
If you are the same case, it is worth to try to make it.

This would be a good candidate for an LED conversion.
