new base and light for an Olympus SZ1145CHI

#1 Post by Milou » Sat Mar 11, 2023 8:39 am

Having got a SZ1145 body alone, I made a base for it with an oak glulam piece , inox bar and an aluminium machined support.
A cross bracket bearing column Tube for connecting horizontal and vertical tubes was bought in China

As no power supply for its halogen lighting I made an adaptation with a 3W led for coaxial illuminator (see here: https://www.microbehunter.com/microscop ... 12&t=17701 ).

Now it is well functional, even is led light is weak, :-)

The old unused halogen part is at the foot of inox vertical tube and perhaps it will be necessary to rebuilt this one to have a correct lighting!
