Organism moving around drunkenly

#1 Post by smollerthings » Thu Sep 23, 2021 8:19 am

Hi Everyone,

I came accross this little guy the other day. Didn't look like anything I have seen before. It has a drunken sailor quality.
Is that a tartigrade? I don't think so because I can't see the legs. Maybe they are tucked under? Maybe a flatworm?

Lomo biolam, 20x (or 7x, I forgot)

Looks like a Bdelloid rotifer behaving typically although the rotatoria aren't obvious. The bright internal chewing jaws are called the mastax.

Blue background: Did you switch to DF?
Nikon AlphaPhot 2 < Zeiss Primostar 3, Full Köhler; Axiocam 208 Color < UHD LG
