Hey everyone,
Not really microscopy related but I was on a walk with family to a local stream to get a water sample and when I got back I found a tiny fish in the jar. I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of fish it is because I can't find any information on it at all.
Any information is greatly appreciated.
Thanks everyone

Re: Tiny fish found in local stream
How big is it? Some small bodies of water are intentionally (sometimes accidentally by birds and other critters or flooding) stocked with "mosquito fish" who's job it is to eat mosquito larvae. These are roughly the size and shape of a plain guppy. The young can of course be quite small.

Hi,
It's very small, I think maybe 1-2cm long although I might be wrong.
Thanks again
