Came across this Stentor.
As you can see especially from the second video the stentor contains a fair bit of Zoochlorellae which made it appear green to my eye. Is this Stentor polymorphus?

Re: Stentor polymorphus ?
The algae we see here are not zoochlorellae (i.e. endosymbionts), but food. The distribution of algae is patchy, the size of algal particles is variable. The colour is variable too, ranging from bright green to brown (depending on how far digestion has progressed). Zoochlorellae are uniform in size and colour, and usually (though not always), uniformly distributed in the cytoplasm.
Stentor polymorphus ?
Found another S. polymorphus suspect. The algea here is more uniform in size and colour so is it zoochlorellae are food.
There are a few S. coeruleus in the video as well and you can clearly see the difference between the two.
