A couple of IDs for a friend

#1 Post by Placozoa » Mon Mar 08, 2021 5:07 am

Oliver posted a new video with an odd jumping ciliate and a couple of square chloroplast containing phyllopharyngia looking things he needed help identifying. Can anyone take a look?

The jumping ciliate at 4:19 is Askenasia.

I can't help with the square-looking algae (not in my wheelhouse :)).

The square thingamajigs look like thalassiosira.

This algae can be "chained" or singular and circular and square shaped.
