What's It?

I said it was a long section of a dill pickle. My wife says it's a paper clip. My brother the renonwn scientist says it is a spinach flavored jelly bean. Somehow I think we are all wrong.

Looks like Pinnularia.

I think this is a diatom. Green dye was added. It would otherwise be a yellowish brown in color. And this one is rather large.
