Stentor muelleri?

#1 Post by D0c » Tue Apr 20, 2021 1:25 pm

As I'm not very well at the moment I decided to revisit some of my earlier observations and I came across this stentor, I think it maybe a Stentor muelleri.

I think a moniliform macronucleus (bead like structure) is seen in various portions of the video, It appears colourless and I don't think there is any symbiotic green algae present.

What do you think?

Sorry to hear you're not well. :(

The macronucleus shows up pretty well in that first video. It is vermiform (like a long white worm), so this is S. roeselii.
