Loooong rotating thing?

#1 Post by WojTek » Mon Jun 21, 2021 6:44 pm

Hi!
Today I was observing pond water and I've found this long thing, maybe some kind of bacteria?
It was very long, slowly rotating and moving forward. This video is under 40x objective. Does anyone have any idea what it might be?
At the beginning there is out of focus spirogyra cell for size comparison, maybe it will be helpful.

That's a very good example of cynobacteria, a form of algae.
