Strange sea creature!

Hi All,

I've recently decided to get into microscopy, after having an interest for some time, and have been reading the site with interest!

Whilst waiting for my nice new Swift 380T to arrive, I had a sudden burst of enthusiasm and decided I'd have a quick go at scooping some sand / seaweed from my local beach (Western Isles of Scotland), and taking a look with an old USB Microscope I bought a while back and haven't really used much.

Lots of interesting shrimp type things, but there were quite a lot of these strange brown and white striped things, they seemed to be associated with the seaweed. I guess they are quite a bit under 1mm long - does anyone have any idea what they might be? I am guessing a worm of some sort?

Thanks!

Brutha

Can't help with the critters but great to find something other than sand.
Good luck with the new microscope.
Cleaning lenses, slides and cover slips is a great hobby too.
