Mystery balls

#1 Post by karhukainen » Fri Jul 22, 2022 10:36 am

This was in a slimy sack with other similar green balls. They look some kind of eggs to me. The animal appears to be in the upper part of the egg, and maybe the green droplets are oil?. Collected from a small lake in southern Finland.

Might be a flatworm eggsack. I observed something similar and Bruce Taylor ID’ed it. Maybe Bruce can weigh in on this.

Cheers.
